Carol Stoops – University of Oklahoma

HI! I am Carol Stoops and my husband is Bob Stoops, the head football coach at the University of Oklahoma. I can hardly believe we are in our 14th football season at this great University. Time has certainly flown by! We moved here when our daughter was just 2 and I was pregnant with our twin sons. Today, our daughter, Mackie is 16 and the proud owner of a driver’s license and Drake and Isaac are 13 years old and playing any sport that is in season. All our children have ever known is living in Norman, Oklahoma! Bobby and I loved it from the moment we moved into this tight knit college town. It is a thriving community and, today, it is our entire family that embraces living here. Our children have made incredible lifelong friends. They are very active in middle school and high school, so needless to say, life is never dull in the fast paced Stoops’ household. We love living in Norman and the state of Oklahoma and as I always say, the people of Oklahoma are the kindest, most giving people you will ever meet.

On a personal level, I am a wife and mother first and foremost. I also chose to build a business with Mary Kay Inc. and over the years have risen to the top leadership position of National Sales Director. Like all women, I wear many hats, and found that developing my business contributed to my own personal development. I am a better wife, mother and head coaches wife because of the leadership skills I learned while building my business. I’m constantly learning new things about myself and I’ve realized that in the end, leadership at a high level is really an inside job.

Bobby and I are honored to represent the University of Oklahoma and proud to call it home.
